According to the reports that are circulating on the internet and social media, the successor of Warzone will be arriving soon. The development team at Call of Duty is currently working on a new addition to the Warzone series.
As per the leaks and rumors, Call of Duty’s Warzone’s successor will be coming to the gaming platforms this year. One of the leakers tweeted that there’s an upcoming map that they think will be used in the newest Warzone 2. The leaker also said that the upcoming battle royale would be based on a new engine with an advanced playspace as well as a sandbox mode. It will be a massive evolution for the battle royale games.
A notable Call of Duty player, known as Tom Henderson, stated that Warzone 2 is set to be in a clean slate, and Infinity Ward will be creating the map this time. If this turns out to be true, players of Warzone won’t be able to bring anything to the new Warzone 2. It will include operators, weapons, and load-outs.
Some leaks tell that the Warzone 2 won’t have cross-gen compatibility like its predecessor.
As per the leaks of a popular Call of Duty leaker, TheGhostOfHope, says Warzone 2’s map will be taking heavy inspiration from Medellin, Colombia. There will be four classic maps of Modern Warfare 2 that will be returning to Warzone 2:
