On Tuesday, the Floridian authorities have announced that they have arrested suspects more than 170 in number during an investigation that took two years regarding the human trafficking of underaged girls.
In a statement, the Tallahassee police said that they have founded an Operation Stolen Innocence in November 2018, when the officers found some explicit images of child sex on pay on a website. The Special Victims Unit Investigators made sure that they rescue the child and take her to safety.
Chief Lawrence Revell revealed that the victim was 13-years-old when she was trafficked, says the Tallahassee Democrat.
In November 2018 investigation, the detectives managed to get tons of evidences that has taken months to review. According to the report, 72 suspects were charged with misdemeanor that involves child pornography possession.
According to the Democrat, the victims had very kindly co-operated with the investigation.
Meanwhile, the Acting Special Agent in Charge of Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) Tampa, Kevin Sibley, said in his announcement,” it is hard to grasp the depravity of those offenders who prey to the innocent in our society” He added, “Due to the collective efforts of the Tallahassee Police Department and also HSI special representatives, our regional communities are somewhat safer now as a consequence of the investigation.
